Directions to Point Richmond
From the Oakland-Berkely Area
Take
interstate I-80 north to the exit for the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge,
which is I-580. Take 580 until the next to last exit, which has
two names on it - Richmond Parkway Point Richmond. Take that
exit, and at the end of the exit ramp there is a traffic signal.
You will be at a "T" facing the entrance to the Chevron
refinery. Take the left turn and go back underneath the freeway,
staying to the left. Just underneath the freeway is a second traffic
signal. That is Tewksbury Avenue. Go left onto Tewksbury, which
will have you pointing back in the direction you came from, with
the freeway on your left. Go just one short block on Tewksbury,
to Santa Fe. Go right on Santa Fe, up the hill, away from the freeway,
for three short blocks (blocks on the right.) The third block is
the intersection of Santa Fe and West Richmond. That is where the
rectory and church are. The church should be open when you get there.
From the Carquinez Bridge
Head south on 80 until you see the signs for 580 - San Rafael Bridge, about 5 miles. Take that exit, staying to the right, following the signs for 580 and Richmond Parkway. Stay on Richmond Parkway, heading down toward the Bay. After several miles the road divides, and the right branch is for Castro Street and 580-San Rafael. Take this road several miles and then theChevron Refinery entrance will be on your right. Follow the directions above from the Refinery.
